Flute Servicing;

  • general service; includes shimming, regulation, oiling and replacing pads and corks as necessary.

 

  • full servicing; includes complete disassembly of instrument and hand polishing to remove tarnish etc.
  • The pads are individually checked for leakage and shimmed as necessary to cover tone holes without using excessive pressure.
  • As the instrument is being assembled corks and felts will be changed as necessary and all tenons checked for fit.
  • Finally the instrument is test played and all adjusting screws locked into position

 

  • overhaul; includes the full rebuilding of all keywork to fit with no excessive 'end play'. All pads and corks are replaced with premium quality replacements. All tenons are refited and then instrument is test played for optimal key heights and response. This type of job enjoys a twelve month warranty.
